And with the introduction of Android, things are so different; it has made the lives of the people so easy and has given them immense power. Now you can do everything at ease you have an application for everything. So, you need not worry about anything.

People have now started becoming impatient and they don’t want even a small glitch or lack in their device. For this technology is constantly evolving and making way for better products. Now when it comes to the mobile app if we were to believe the facts people started using a mobile since 1996 and 20 years down the line we have evolved so much. In the first mobile, you just got the calling feature and nothing else. But later on things started developing and applications were introduced.

Same is the case of one of the loveliest inventions of its time which is “Facebook”. You can get the application in your android as well as the iOS platforms. This is a social media website that helps you get connected with your friends and family. This platform now is not just a tool to be connected with your friends and family but it is also a place where you can sell your service as well as your products. Facebook is also a platform that helps you raise your voice and reach out to many people at once. Facebook’s market is increasing day by day and now the app is so convenient that it can do things for you. You get so many suggestions regularly that will help you get a better outcome. Nowadays, the app uses all the information that you put and all the updates you do to give you a prĂ©cised result on things like “Restaurants you would want to go”, “Things you might love to have”. So, in a nutshell, we can say that this application is making things way easier and better.

There are many leading brands that have started giving their ads on Facebook and the same is done by CouponsCurry, which is a leading website in clubbing and sorting various coupons from different websites. You can get the best deals and offers here in one place. This will save your time because they have very beautifully channelized their website not redirecting the customers to different pages. What they do is, the moment you click on the deal they redirect you the last page where you can avail the offer or the deal as simple as that, no worries and no hassle.

With time, people have got this idea fit into their brains that they can use this platform for expanding their business as well. Now to use the Facebook application you will have to successfully follow the steps that are written below.

1. Firstly, you need to open your play store on your mobile.

2. Then type facebook and download it.

3. Then, once it is downloaded you will have to sign up by punching all the credentials that are asked there.

4. Lastly, after you have done all the steps correctly, your ID will be created and then you will just have to login into the app once again.

Once you have followed these easy steps you are good to go and will be able to use the app on your mobile. Using the app you can text, call as well as video call your friends and family. This application is very light and you will not have to worry about the data getting leaked as it is as secure as the website itself.

Moreover, now you would not have to sit in front of the monitor to use it as with the power in your hand it can be accessed while you are on the go. Isn’t it full of ease? Yeah, I think the same.

I Forgot How To Instagram, a witty guide to Instagram?
New to Instagram? Have been using Instagram but suddenly forgot how to navigate completely as though you just woke up from a coma and had to relearn how to eat, talk, and Instagram? By now you've probably figured out that Instagram is a photo and video sharing social media site that a large amount of users are on. The second thing you have probably figured out is that you want to be a part of Instagram. That's no problem at all! Don't worry about a thing if you've forgotten how to Instagram. We're going to show you everything you need to know to get back on your feet and posting and scrolling through your favorite shots again so you can join the millions of users happily posting and viewing photos. Or you can check out A Beginner’s Guide To Instagram for more tips and info!

Sign Up For The Site
The first step to using any site is signing up for it so you can use it. Download the app to your smart phone whether iPhone or Android and get started registering your Instagram account. All accounts registered to the site are public when they start but you can change your account to private where only users that have been approved can follow you or view your photos. Go to the tab for "Profile" and click on Privacy, where you can keep photos private. Register your profile, edit your profile, and change your profile picture, and you're ready to get started!

Enable Push Notifications
Instagram offers its photo feed through apps instead of web so you may want to set up push notifications. You can set up notifications that alert you when someone comments or likes your photo, when you are mentioned in a comment, when your photo is on the Popular page, and when you are tagged in a photo. Go to Settings from your profile and select Push Notification Settings. You can configure preferences for the app by going to Settings and going to the Notification Center and find Instagram.

Connecting To Social Accounts
Instagram can also be connected to your social accounts. It's possible to link up your Instagram to not only Twitter but Tumblr, Facebook, Foursquare, Tumblr, Flickr, and more. Go to Edit Sharing Settings in the Profile Tab to connect your social accounts and choose the network you want to connect it to. This way every time you post a photo you'll be able to share it on the networks you've enabled.

Posting Your Own Photos On Instagram

One of the great advantages of Instagram is that you can add a digital layer or photo filter over a standard photograph to give it a different look or just a polished, edited version. Filters can dull or brighten colors in the photo or go black and white or give it a sepia hued vintage feel. Click the button with the blue camera in the navigation panel's center and you can choose to take a photo or used an already saved one. For video, choose the Video Camera option to the right. In the lower left screen click the double-square button to post saved photos. Full size photos may have to be cropped. Three icons will appear that offer you 17 filters to add programmed effects to your photograph. Choose the best one for you and once you're done, click the green checkmark. You'll go the social sharing screen where you can add a caption, add hashtags and tag people. Choose the networks you want to share to and click Share Post and you have uploaded your first photo to Instagram! Enjoy your new found knowledge of Instagram and all the glorious photo sharing that comes with it!

Conclusion

You must know that you can view, comment, like and follow others in Instagram's official website. You can also try some other web apps like statigram and webstagram, they have some useful sorting features and they provide free stats everyday.

Is Social Media Killing Christmas Cards?

Is Social Media Killing Christmas Cards?

What would Sir Henry Cole think if he could see us sending our social greetings to one another via social media? Sir Henry is the chap who sent the first Christmas card in 1843 and kicked off the tradition, selling his creations for one shilling a piece (that's 5p or 8 cents to you and me!). When the cost of sending these fabulous creations became affordable for the masses in 1870, the tradition spread and it is only in the last few years of this century that we are starting to see a decline in Christmas card sending. Why? Because of the internet - and more specifically, social media. How easy has it become to wish a happy Christmas to everyone we know - all at the same time? Even sending personalised messages has become much more simple with the advent of social media. Just a few taps of the keyboard, a click of the mouse and your greetings are with their recipient, awaiting an instant response.

Perhaps this simply means that we are lazier than we were 5 years ago, or maybe there is simply an expectation that this is how things are done these days. Either way, there is no disputing the evidence. In the study depicted in this infographic, LoveMyVouchers have found that their newsletter subscribers are definitely sending less Christmas cards, and friends are the most likely group of people to receive social media messages as opposed to traditional cards.

This infographic shows the results of a survey conducted by www.LoveMyVouchers.co.uk in which participants were asked about their Christmas card sending habits.

From Freedom to Walled Gardens - The Evolution of The Internet

The Internet has given people from all over the world unprecedented ability to communicate with each other. Anyone can create content and share their thoughts and opinions with the world. The Internet is not controlled by any one central body, and this is something that many governments are uncomfortable with. Ideas posted online may be stored on a server thousands of miles from the place where the content creator lives, and can be copied, shared and archived by an unlimited number of users.

As this infographic shows, some governments, including those in mainland China, North Korea and the UAE have taken measures to restrict the kind of content that users can access online. Those countries restrict content that is political or religious in nature. Other countries, including several in Europe, have started to filter content too, blocking websites that contain illegal content such as child pornography or copyright file sharing sites.

The original creators of the Internet wanted information to be free, and love the widespread sharing of ideas, no matter whether they agree with those ideas or not. Freedom of communication is under threat, and the threat may be closer to home than you think.
