The Universal item actually creates two projects—a Windows desktop application and a Windows Phone application with some shared code. For creating just a Windows application, choose Windows and then from the center section Blank App (Windows 8.1). For a Windows Phone application, choose Windows Phone and Blank App This creates a project that targets Windows Phone 8.1. 

These are the three project types supported by Xamarin.Forms.

You should be able to build and deploy the skeleton application to the desktop or to a real phone or an emulator. If not, search the Microsoft website or online forums such as Stack Overflow. 

All ready? If you can build Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Android, and Windows applications (or some subset of those), then you’re ready to create your first Xamarin.Forms application. It’s time to say “Hello, Xamarin.Forms” to a new era in cross-platform mobile development.

Softpedia is a site where you can find computer programs and technology based articles. It's owned by SoftNews NET SRL, a Romanian company. It was launched in 2001. My programs have been reviewed by the Softpedia editors thrice. I submit my programs whenever they are ready to be released.

I have been asked a few times about this(how to submit..). It's pretty easy to submit your programs to Softpedia all you have to do is fill the form fields and submit.

NOTE : you can submit your java programs in any section except Mobile.

Make sure you go to the right page, if you have a PAD file for your software already just fill the PAD form fields and submit if not fill the regular submission forms and submit. Don't forget to give your regular email address they'll send you an email when your program has been published.

Apple Releases iOS 7.0.3 Update

Apple introduced iOS 7 It's latest OS however it accompanied several security flaws and other bugs. The biggest problem was iMessage issue. Some users were complaining that they were not able to send messages. In previous versions of iOS similar bugs were found and removed with updates. Engaged on a similar improvement policy Apple has released iOS 7.0.3 update that brings a number of new features and fixes.
